No. The Cowboys have traditional rivalries in the NFC East that would be disrupted by putting them in the West, where the only rival they have is Arizona.
If you were to put Dalls in the West, then St. Louis would end up going to the South and Carolina to the East, since you are not going to touch the NFC North. While it would make geographic sense, too many rivalries would be disrupted.

Its all about television revenues that Cowboys can bring in as America's team playing against the bigger market teams from New York, Philly and Washington.
Given the choice, I'd have the 'Boys and Texans in the same division with New Orleans and maybe Tennessee. This would create a lot of other movement that would include returning Baltimore to the NFC East in my scheme.

I would Like to see them in a more geographically correct conference, like the South, trade spots with Carolina. But since I live on the Eastern Seaboard, As a Dallas fan, I would be able to see more Dallas games as long as they remain in the NFC East with their long time Division Rivals, that's where they will probably stay, Not like everything in this world makes sense anyway.
