Hi
Had the same problem with a Laptop we had fixed at work. Turns out was part hard drive problem, corrupt dll files and also they had locked the control panel from being accessed, you can do it when you log in as an administrator but is quite fiddly to get back.
Something to do with user permissions i think.

Contact the guys who "fixed" your PC and get them sort it out.

Best of luck

Absolutely amazing question. Let's say you took a car to a repair shop to get the engine worked on. When you get the car back, the check engine light is on, there's a loud knocking sound coming from the engine, and it won't go over 20 mph. Would you try to fix it yourself or take it back to the shop?

plrr

click right on my computer and choose manage. Then choose device manager. See if there are any unknown devices.... your sound card may be one of them. You can get drivers off the internet... first try windows update (on internet explorer choose tools>windows update) then choose custom update and look at hardware updates for drivers. Failing that try on your computer manufacturer website......
