I think u need both..but the most important it's love i mean u can have all the riches of the world but if u don't have love u won't be happy..love from ur family, friends etc if it wasn't for my family and friends love, support, encouragement i wouldn't be where i am today the love they show me is what keeps me going.I come from a very poor background so we had nothing to offer each other accept love and today I'm in a well paying job because with the little money they got they payed for my school fees..now i shower them with love and money.

This is the question for the ages, isn't it?
I always wondered why people ask this question as love deals with emotion and money with material.

And it's not that one answer is right or wrong, it is simply that the answer will depend on what need is or is not satisfied for a particular person

I love my family to death, but saying that you can't survive without love is an approach only a person from a fully developed country can take. That is, you already have your physical needs satisfied, so for you they are a non-issue - this is borrowed from Maslow's hierarchy in psychology and somewhat from ERG theory in organizational behavior.

For you, survival on the physical level is a given - the physical need is satisfied. It is obvious that your question is talking about large sums of money, or more than a person would need to keep up their day to day routine. In that sense, yes, given that I do not have to worry about food on my table every day - I will take love of my family over any millions of dollars some people chase.

At the same time, think in a broader sense - money makes things avaiable to people. Think about NO money - just imagine it - NOTHING to buy things with for your lovely family. Then, you will instinctively shift your priorities to physical survival. Your emotional needs will be nowhere near as important. But money, all of a sudden be all that you can think of.

I am not trying to be an amateur psychologist here. It is just that you are not the only one struggling with this answer.

I would strongly suggest researching the Clayton Alderfer ERG theory and Maslow's hierarchy of needs.

Well, you can die from the lack of either one.

The reality is though, without money, love would be very difficult. I suppose you could still huddle together in a gutter & snuggle each other for warmth but you'll die from starvation & exposure to the elements. Love is not a shelter or food (though it may be romantic to write songs about how it is).

On the other hand, if you have all the money in the world but don't love or feel loved, you may die of a broken heart, feeling empty inside. You'd be warm, dry & well-fed however.

You need both to exist in the world.

Love isn't just about romantic love. It can mean loving yourself, your family, the world, animals. You need to love someone or something or else you have no connection to life & no will to survive.

If I had to choose between them? Well, when I'm feeling romantic I'd say love. When I'm feeling cynical (realistic, practical) I'd say money. The point is I don't have to choose. I need both.

Think of this this way:
We have all the money in the world and no love at all... Can we survive?
We have all the love in this world and no money at all... Can we survive?

I think we need both to survive and how much of each depends on the individual.

For survival at this time in the world, it's money. You can not survive without it. Love is important, I know. Without unconditional love and support from family or friends, we fall apart emotionally. I wish I could have said love, but honestly, how can you live without money for food, shelter, warm clothing etc..

I wish I could say love, but we need money to buy food, clothing, houses. It is impossible to not die/end up on the streets without money (in our present society, in any case.) Love is amazing, but builders and farmers wont be paid with love!

If anyone has seen Donald Trump in action, they'd fully realize that love can be bought. Several times over.

Love, money can buy you everything except what you need inside.
True love will be there when the money is gone.
