It doesn't matter what you pay ($0 to a $1,000,000). The only thing that matters is that you're downloading from an "authorized" site that is paying royalties to the artists/recording companies.

I guess as long as you're paying something, it's cool.

Who's to say what's the right price and what's not?

If you require everyone to pay AT LEAST 99c a song, then buying songs from Wal Mart (don't they charge 88c each?) would be illegal....

If the site is not paying the people who own the site any of the money, i.e. royalties, then it is still illegal

If you bought a stolen car would you think that was okay because you had paid money for it - especially if you knew it was stolen in the first place. It's only legal if the money you pay goes to the rightful owner
