If your mom dies when you are 6 and you have been living with your guardian, who would have been your stepdad. You are almost 15 now, and would like to move back to actual relatives. Legal?

I believe you would need your relatives to want to obtain custody, and they would have to do all the legal work on your behalf.

I'm confused. Was he married to your mother and did he adopt you as his child. If he never adopted you, then he taking custody would have been illegal unless court appointed. You can talk to legal council to find the answer to this, but there are a lot more questions that need to be answered before anyone can give you any advice.

You would have to go through a legal system of custody but as long as the relatives gained custody rights you should have no problems it is aboslutely legal.
