Hello~! I'm new to figure skating and I am having problems with my edging. I'm more comfortable using the inside edge but with that i am having a hard time raising up my foot. Any advice? Thanks~!

try to shift your weight directly over your skating leg. this way you can lift your free leg without feeling like you're going to fall over. or, it's possible that your blades aren't correctly positioned. blades don't necessarily have to be in the exact middle of the bottom of your boot. try having your blades adjusted so that they're a little off center, outwards.

try taking skating lessons !

they teach you how to use both your edges.
