I have a pretty regular menstrual cycle (every since high school-over 10 years ago). I usually can predict the exact day I'll get my period. My last period was on Oct 8th. My cycle is about 27-28 days in length. I've never been irregular for any reason. I'm now about 3-4 days late, my breast feel fuller and slightly sensitive on the outer areas (not the nipples), my nipples are not darkened. I've taken 2 hpt (1st one the first day my perdion had not come, the 2nd this morning) and both came out negative. But still no period. Other than the full and sensitive breasts, oare there any other symptoms I may have if I were pregnant? Has anyone had false negatives and been pregnant? How long should I wait to take another? Or am I not pregnant and the stress of wondering if I am preventing my period from not coming? Thanks.

it's so hard to tell....could be stress or that you really are pg. I've always been like a clockwork and the period before I got pg I was late for 4 days...I thought I was...I took a blood test (they are 100% accurate) and I wasn't.....one month later I was late again 4 days....took a pg test and I was. If you are that regular you should be able to know by now....wait a couple of days, if it hasn't come take another test. Then go to the dr, regardless of the result a Dr would be the step to follow , if you are not to find out why are you so late, if you are to start taking care of the baby.

Could be stress. BUT I don't doubt that you coudl very well be preggers. So, go see a doc if you don't get it for about 4-5 days. You might feel a bit sick, I got a UTI and diareah when I first got preggers. Do you feel sleepy? That is another red flag that says hey, im pregnant! Cravings and such won't come till later, same thing with your nipples getting dark.

As for a fasle postive. happens all the time. You take a test to early, and nothing. Happened to me! Go make an appt with your doc, and they will take it from there!

But, if you are, lemmi be the first to say CONGRATS!! ;)

Good luck!

It could be stress, but you might be pregnant. Some women don't have strong enough levels of the pregnancy hormone (HCG) to detect it on hpts early. Go to the doctor and ask for a blood test. I only suggest that, because I am 5 weeks pregnant and the first day of my last period was October 7th. So, you probably are, but to be sure, go and get checked out. Best of luck...

Your body and periods change somewhat as you get older. Just because you have always had regular periods does not mean it will always be like that. You are probably not pregnant but if you do not get your period in a few days take another and if still negative and no period go to the doc.

Hey there, I was just like that, I could predict my period coming and it was always regular, the breasts for me were a dead give away, but one I didn't know about was tiredness, i was constantly tired at the begining. if you can i'd say to put off doing another test for a while because you seem to be getting stressed over it, try to get it off your mind, I know its not easy to do but if you try to relax you will be calmer going into it next time. Good Luck with how it turns out.
