Gee, ask, thanks so much for your loving reply. And I swear, just as soon as I can find something positive to give GW credit for, I will. Stay loving and do not think too much - you aren't good at it.

George is too much the want to be dictator to learn to compromise. Abraham Lincoln wrote of a government of the people, for the people and by the people. George's idea is my government and the people be damned because their wants are insignificant to his own agenda. I think he has just entered a phase of accountability for his actions that up till now have gone unchecked. The will of the people spoke loudly on election day. Will he heed the voice of the people....no, he hasn't up till now and I don't think that will change. It is not the will of the people that is primary in George's concern....it is his own will.

That sword cuts both ways. The Democrats will also have to learn to compromise. It is the president who signs bills into law, so he always has the last say, barring a Congressional veto which is rare. I am hoping that the people recently elected, and those still in public office, got the message America is tired of the crap in Washington. We all know politics is a dirty business. However, not only did it reach new lows in the past six years, but the arrogance that accompanied the f-you attitude toward the American people and their wishes reached new highs. We saw the voter turnout we did because when you crap on people AND rub it in their faces, it really makes them angry. I want to thank our president and his staff for finally getting Americans angry enough to get out and vote. Yes, I think compromise will find its way into our government, if not, in two years we get our boots out again and apply them to the butts of those who do not know the meaning of the word.

Nice attitude. You don't think, but if you would try, you'd discover many areas and issues that President George W. Bush has come to a compromise with both Democrats and Republicans. You can criticize GWB, but give him credit where he's due. Don't hate.

Love is so much more powerful and positive. Stay positive.

Thanks.

He really has no choice. He can't get anything done without the House and/or Senate. When before he relied on the majority of his party, that has now been relinquished.

This is a huge win for Dems, not only to receive many unanswered questions but to stop him from putting us in further danger and continuing to make more ridiculous decisions.

Directly following the elections we saw the resignation of Donald Rumsfeld; that in itself is not only compromise but the first of many victories for Dems.

properly, thinking your colourful descriptions of the activities in touch, i might want to assert you've already made up your concepts on the way you elect issues to exhibit out... yet that stated, the authorities develop into equipped on a equipment of assessments and balances. even as those assessments and balances are out of whack because one party controls both homes of Congress and the Presidency, they can fairly a lot waste u.s.'s time with regardless of legislations that they elect to. The Republicans did a similar aspect for 2 years on the starting up of Bush's 2d time period -- and they paid a expensive cost for it. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid would properly be salivating on the idea of each and every of the skill that's at their fingertips as we talk, yet they even ought to look 2 and three years down the line. people are going to undergo in concepts how a lot time develop into spent getting issues finished, and how a lot time develop into spent on partisan politics, bickering, and choosing on the scabs incredibly than letting the country heal. If that's the line they elect to take, they are going to face a similar destiny that the Republicans did 2 years in the past even as they lost maximum people in both the abode and Senate.

No doubt. He was famous in Texas for working with Democrats in that states legislature.

The problem is, one of the things the Dems want and the Pres wants is amnesty, or " comprehensive immigration reform. "

Another phrase for amnesty.

Stop the Slave Labor, Save our environment from an illegal population boom. Save our wages from a decrease brought on by illegal immigration. And save our jobs from being shipped to Asia.

I'm afraid the Pres and Congress will allow all of these things to continue.

By working together..........Ironic isn't it.

I am hoping that with a rep pres and a dem house/senate there can be a balance.

When one party controls it all it becomes naive and only does what they want and listens to no one.

I know it most likely wont happen, but I can hope.

He does not have to. His 49 Senators are going to fillibuster everything that is proposed, even those things they want to be law. This will allow them in 2008 claim that the Democrats don't have the ability to govern, and it will allow them to claim that they were cheated.

The biggest thing for the Conservatives is the idea that they are all victims to the 'liberals.'
