Use a Jigsaw, however get the specific blade required or it will make a mess of the laminate, you need a blade with the teeth facing down the way to give you a nice finish.

If you need to cut the lower edges of your door trim it's called a jamsaw. If you need to cut the flooring it's a linoleum knife. You can get both of them at Home Depot.

if you dont have a jambsaw lay a piece of flooring on the floor then take a hand saw and lay on top of flooring and against jamb or trim and cut this will allow flooring to go under

the item your looking for is called a jambsaw. it looks like a angle grinder with a saw blade at the end. you can also cut the base of your moldings with a Japanize pull saw. it takes a bit longer but is way cheeper. check with Home Depot to rent one or go to your local hardware store and find the manual one.

door jambs come in all different shapes ,i'd recomend a coping saw as you can control the cut better, and use a scrap piece to practice and make a pattern.

I think you are referring to a Jambsaw. I saws off the door jambs so you can slip material under it.
