I think your all missing the point! Children are children if they live next door or the live across the street. We have to stop thinking in segregated parts and start thinking of the whole! If she, and Angelina had not taken these children, who would have! You complain about the publicity and if reporters would keep their noses out of the private lives of some people we would never have known it was happening.
All children need a home and if these beautiful woman can't choose for themselves who they want to love and care for this world needs a serious 'once again'! If you don't like it don't watch! If you don't agree don't ask! If you are worried about the 2.6 billion children that don't have homes, still, go out there and get a few of those children yourself! If they won't let you have one because of the laws, force the laws to change so that people like Madonna and Angelina are not the only ones who have the love of children in their lives!
There are millions of children in America who want homes, yes! But with people like you and others who complain and throw stones, stones is all these children will ever fill their bellies with.
We live in a time that gives us the freedoms to do as we please but soon enough it will be difficult to even feed our own children unless we do something to change the world. Our world does not just consist of our home, our street, our market, our post office, our pool and our movie theaters. It is a mass of projects that exist everywhere and in every city and every country everywhere! They are not just blond with blue eyes, or brunette with dark eyes! Our lives are connected in every way with every person you see and every person you don't see! Start thinking that the world is our proverbial 'Oyster' and live your life in just that manner, and some day, maybe sooner than you think, Africa, Asia, America, Europe, and anywhere else you can think of will be part of your backyard too!

Being cynical, I think it was a publicity stunt to show what a wonderful person she is. Although it was nice to save a refugee child, there are children at home, just as in need of intervention

I think she did it for a show not really wanting to but because she need publicity that was a great way, if Brad Pitt and his wife can adopt, why can't she, but the real question to me is why couldn't she adopt in America, we have very poor and needed children's here. and the news is making a big deal out of this only because she's rich, if U and I adopt no one wouldn't even care, the news wouldn't even broadcast the adoption. {The real question everyone wants to ask but is afraid to, is why she chose a black child} there's nothing wrong with that but, in the back of their minds the question remains, WHY!!!!!!
