Thanks for all the advice, just been to the see the doctor and she has some antibiotics, he says it is fine to use albas or karvol as long as its a tiny bit on a hankie not too near the cot and the reason they say for 3 months and over is just the manufacturors protecting their back incase anything happens. I suppose some people may dip the baby in the stuff !!!!

WE USE KARVOL FOR MY YOUNG DAUGHTER WHEN SHE IS BUNGED UP WITH A COLD...WE PUT IT ON THE CURTAINS NEAR HER BED ..BUT HIGH ENOUGH AS TO STOP HER REACHING IT...PUT IT ON A COUPLE OF HOURS BEFORE HER BED TIME AND CLOSE THE DOOR...

Glad to hear she is being cared for by a loving mother who wants the best for her daughter. She obviously has an infection as otherwise the doc wouldn't have given her anti-biotics so just take care that she is wrapped up when you take her out and this will help to get her all better soon.

Loving father's advice is excellent. Also don't be surprised if her diapers are a bit funny while she is on the antibiotics.

The best way is to suck the cold from her nose,I know it seems gross but it works.
