There is loads of talk about Graham Poll again today, after he had to have a police escort after the match last night. Do you think he is too quick to hand out the cards, or do you think that the dissent and abusive behaviour on the pitch should be treated with a red card

I greatly sympathise with Graham Poll, but he surely is quick with those cards sometimes. I wish he could, once in a while, consult his linesman, but as Jose Mourinho said, Graham Poll wants to be part of the action, and it is usually for the wrong reasons. I think he should try by all means improve his referring skills through involving his linesmen otherwise his reputation will continue to slide down disgracefully.

Graham Poll is a joke! Three yellows before a red? Yes he's too quick to grab the cards - he doesn't understand the concept of football being a 'physical and contact' sport! Someone needs to take him back to the old school days where men got in deep and dirty - and all these diving acting prima donna's that put on football kits these days do not help the way people and ref's view football!

He is quite a good referee and is only following the guidelines set for him. The World Cup was unfortunate but if you look at that incident I really thought he was about to be assaulted. That is probably why the confusion. We cant always see or hear what some of these players say to a referee but when you can lip read or something it is usually very abusive. It is a thankless task and the day I read of a referee who is liked is the day I will worry.

I think Chelsea players moan too much, and thus prepared the tinderbox.

The spark was the red card incident.

Sorry for saying this, but a player commenting 'shite' deserves the red card. I find Mr Mcfadden's defence totally ridiculous; 'shite' or 'cheat' deserves the red card.
