I have a huge bruise in my arm, it's been four days since I have it, and it seems to be going away very slowly.
It looks awful, and it's starting to get embarrasing and annoying to have that thing spoiling my pretty arm.

Is there anything I can do to make it go away faster?

Immediately after you bump something hard enough to cause a bruise, and for the first day or two after you get one, you should apply cold compresses to prevent swelling. After that, try applying warm compresses to help the absorption of blood. People who get bruises frequently may have vitamin deficiencies, including C, E, K and zinc. Try taking supplements if you get bruises often. Some studies have shown that applying a cream containing vitamin K can help fade a bruise. Bruises normally take about 2 weeks to fade completely. Just wait, and wear longer sleeves if it bothers you.

hot and cold compresses (fomentation). Use thick towels soaked in hot and cold water or those commercial gel packs that can be chilled and or heated. 20 minutes of hot and then 20 minutes of cold. The bruise will come to the surface quicker and then dissapear.

If it is just a bruise, then elevate your arm and rest it. Be careful, a big bruise on your arm could indicate a fracture or sprain.

Take a stiff comb and run it over it a couple of times a day.

It breaks up the coagulated blood in the black and blue.
