Don't get rid of it, you can re-use it over and over again !
If you put it into a glass jar with a screw-on lid, e.g. a jam-jar etc. and leave it for a couple of months, the paint will settle out to the bottom of the jar and you can pour off the now clear white-spirit into another jar and use it again. Put the lid back on the jar with the paint residue in it and take that to the local waste-disposal instead.

Take it to the council tip, they should have a disposal point; or get yourself an environmental licence then you can contact a licenced disposal company to take it away for you.The latter naturally costs money.

If you go to your local household waste site, they have special facilities for disposing of things like oil etc. they'll be able to deal with it.

I would put it in an open bucket in the shed and let it evaporate. Better than down the drains ;)

You could encase it in concrete and have it sent into space via the space shuttle then release when it is clear of the Earths orbit. OR you could wash it down the sink.
