Thanks to Mrs.Thatcher and now Tony, our manufacturing industry has been transferred to China and India, as a result our service sectors dominating our market place. Who knows what will happen if Honda, Nissan and Toyota decide to move their factories from the UK to a cheaper and more cost effective alternative in the eastern europe. I can only guess that recession will follow and this may even affect the service sector. In my view,at the present time the service sector is the dominant labour market in the UK.

Hi >
Seems to be going the way of global flexibility.
I used to work ex-pat in the Mid-East for a number of years, and all was fine.
Equally, I fully appreciate the services of my local "foreign" take-aways, and the skills of my Polish plumber back here in the UK.
I go globally, as a designer of small power stations & stuff.
International co-operation in skills & experience, why not ?
Bob.
