The health visitor said that I can breast feed whilst being pregnant for as long as I feel comfortable.

Well, good grief I figure it would drain you. Your body is supporting 2 lives. They are taking everything from you. Maybe you should take extra vitamins and eat more protien. You need some nutrition for yourself too.

Ask any mum who has been pregnant when she also has a young baby or toddler and they will tell you they are exhausted! Pregnancy often IS exhausting. All that increased blood, weight, placenta etc to lug about - plus all those hormones not helping.
With your first you're still waking when you want, resting in the evenings, perhaps even having a nap. Lob another young child into the combo though and lets face it, it's knackering!

My daughter weaned during pregnancy once my milk supply dwindled around 20 weeks but it made no difference whatsoever to the tiredness. The human body is a very clever thing and it doesn't "drain everything from you" as we might perhaps think, lots of mums breastfeed during pregnancy and beyond (ie go onto tandem nurse two children)

As we know breastfeeding protects your child from many diseases & cancers, increases their IQ and protects you from various cancers too. In many cases this protection is directly related to duration of breastfeeding which is something you may want to consider when making your decision.

There is support and information online regarding breastfeeding during pregnancy and of course the pro's and cons. I will add a couple of resources below I hope will help.

Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Honey, I found breastfeeding draining enough with out being pregnant on top of that. You are doing a great job though, just stay hydrated and take your Sanatogen pro-natal vitamins.
Make sure your iron levels are high enough too! That kind of terrific lifestyle could make you anaemic...but I guess that you already know this.

Congratulations on your babies!

I had a 9 month girl when I got pregnant again. My doctor told me that all my nutrition was going to my body and wasn't in my milk any longer. I gave her formula and it helped me to feel better, my body could focus on me and the new baby. Everyone turned out great!

As soon as friend found out she was pregnant again, the doc told her to wean the baby onto the bottle as extra tired mums to be are no good to the baby in her arms. If baby is old enough, wean him onto cup. Baby gets the goodness from you that your new baby [and you ] need. So if baby over 6months, put him/her onto cup. They soon get the hang of it even if they won't hold it by themselves they still drink from it. If younger, bottle feed. You need your strength to stay up

I think that if you are pregnant you should maybe stop breastfeeding, i know it is the best way although if it really drains you it could be bad for your unborn child

I have never breastfeed, but I know for sure that being pregnant would make you tried. I can imagine that doing both would be very diffcult. May be u should consider putting your infant on formula.
