Not in all cases. Sometimes affairs can result in emotional attachment. It's usually the women who become emotionally attached, more so then men. Also, women are more likely to start an emotional affair whereas more men start physical affairs.

An affair of the heart/soul/body is an affair just the same. No matter what, all will quickly merge.

Tell your friend to put the effort of having the affair and hiding it, into her relationship. Maybe then they wouldn't seek out the affair.

For women (dont take offense), emotional attachments are common, especially when having sex with someone. You may not feel anything the first few times but eventually your emotions can get involved. Its the same with men, yet men are less likely to get emotionally attached. As a comedian once said, men are the ones who have sex BECAUSE they have a headache!

It is all in how you use it and set it up. Men do it all the time. Most of the time when a woman has an affair it is because she is missing something in her marriage. Men will have sex with their mistress and then go hom and have sex with their wife. They disconnect the two all the time. Love and sex have nothing to do with each for men. Woman put love and sex together. You would need to keep the two separate. It can be done.

Yes, it is. I have male and female friends that have been having affairs. It's the reason behind the affair that effects whether emotions are involved or not.

I don't think so. One way or another you are emotionally involved by just having sex. The more times you meet for sex the more attached you are going to get and the more you are going to get emotion. Make sense? Probably not.LOL

I would advise against an affair either way but it is possible you could have one without emotional attachment but risky and unlikely.

I think only men can really have an affair just for the sex.

No it is not. It opens doors in the heart that are hard to close and that damage trust in a relationship, even if the other is unaware.

Yes, but it's not a good idea. It's better to hold out for someone who is available and wants to commit to you.
