Hi! - I have been searching the web for an answer to this one. My current chip is AMD Athlon 2000+. Am wondering whether to upgrade the chip on this motherboard or bite the bullet with a new mother board and cpu ?

Bear in mind that changing chips on a motherboard is NOT a simple process of just unplugging one, and plugging in the other. You need to make sure you have the right paste between it and the heat sink and fan, and you bend a pin, you might ruin the chip!

Personally, I'd always buy a motherboard and CPU bundle.
