I purchased a dark leather sofa and furniture protection plan was not offered at time of sale. I am looking for a reputable company that i can purchase a protection plan from.
Thanks!

Warranty schemes are available for leather furniture but are normally offered at the time of sale. However if you purchase one you often find that there is a lot of small print which in the end does not cover you for an awful lot so read them carefully first. I am not sure whether you can buy ones after purchase but companies like Multimaster, Guardsman and Valspar all do them.

Hmmmm... First time I've ever heard of this, in all my 63 years.

Insurance,,, I imagine so, but why? That would be similar to an insurance company offering me a policy of protection against hot ash falling on my house roof if I lived next to a Volcano.

The manufacturer should state disclaimers about the materials used especially for the covering, and Leather,,, it seems to me, is liable for stains, abrasions, from the tabs on certain brands of jeans, and shredding by the cat with long nails...etc. I see little profit or logical rational, for any manufacturer or warauntee situation where they should be responsible for anything other than faults in construction, once the item is in the hands of the consumer.

Furniture warranties are absolutely worth it, but be sure to read the warranty when you get it home. It is like homeowners insurance, you don't wait 2 months to report a robbery, you have to follow the terms, and then you will be sure to be taken care of. I noticed that another person had mentioned Leather Master, the company who used to own Leather Master US was Stainsafe, but they have decided to switch to an updated brand of products that is even better (some La-z-boys use this warranty).
