I love the wedding portrait and the ex is not in the pic. Is it appropriate to keep the pics or not?

My brother divorced also without kids and remarried and now has children. I still have his wedding pictures and other pictures that have he and his wife. They are a part of his and also my history with him. Therefore, I keep them but they are not in the same albums as the pics from the present. They are in the older albums that are kept put away and only pulled out occasionally.

Of course it's ok. Save one or two for Old Times' Sake and dump the others.

After all, you can't very well pretend it never happened, nor is the first marriage anything to be ashamed of, so there is nothing wrong with keeping a memory of it. Especially if it's a happy memory.

The past should remain in the past. I wouln't throw them away because they are a part of your daughters life. Find some nice safe place to tuck them away.

I would leave the decision up to the daughter.

It might bother your current son-in-law if you keep that picture up or it may not bother him at all. Can you hang it in your bedroom or someplace that you can enjoy it and not offend anyone?

I packed mine away. They are part of your past, why not keep them, just do not display them.
Hope this helps.
