hiya hunni please try not to worry, I'm 21weeks and just lately if i walk for say 10mins or so im in agony in my right side its like the worst stitch Ive ever had but i had a scan on Friday and all is well with baby and they think its the ligaments stretching what with the pressure of the pregnancy and all.
if you have no other symptoms id try to relax and speak to your doctor or midwife in a few days if the pains no better, if however the pains don't ease or get worse when resting call them for advice
good luck hunni x x x x

I would have it checked, you could be developing a kidney infection. Always better to be on the safe side and catch something in it's early stages. I had pains in my first pregnancy which I didn't get checked and ended up with a serious bladder and kidney infection. I was rushed to hospital with excruciating pain and found the whole experience very traumatic as it was my first child. Wish I had had it checked out before letting it get to that stage. All the best of luck and I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy and birth.

As the baby is growing and your uterus expanding, it is putting pressure on all your organs including the kidneys and the surrounding areas. This is normal, but if you are worried and are in a lot of pain, see a GP. Don't take Nurofen, the only safe thing is a paracetamol.

they might be from just stretching. I use to get these awful pains in my side and back and the Dr said it was just the baby growing and pushing on everything. The constipation is normal. I had it with my first pregnancy, but with my 2nd my prenatal vitamins had a laxative in them. So talk to your Dr about it and she can give you something for it. Also mention the pain because you never can know. Its better to safe then sorry esp when it comes to your precious little one

I had exactly the same problem for the second half of my pregnancy. It turned out in my case that it was a problem with pelvis, it was spreading faster than it should. This was easily fixed with a support belt and a couple of sessions with a really good physiotherapist at the hospital. Mention it to your midwife at your next appointment and ask her to refer you to the physio department. I'm assuming you're in the UK. If so then all of these services, including the support belts will be free.
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

It may be a water infection. you should see you midwife or GP to rule it out. In the meantime drink plenty of water and this should help with a water infection and consitpation. Increase the fibre in your diet this should help too.

I'd get it checked out. My wife had similar symptoms and it turned out she had gall stones. Best be on the safe side and see the doctor.

I had this same problem with my first pregnancy and the doctor said it was sciatica. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT IS WHAT YOURS IS! You should always go to the doctor and ask them. I wouldn't risk anything.
