2.Give login credentials
3.mput file-name...
4. type 'bye' to exit.

yes there are many ways to send files with the help of IP address
first install netmeeting in your system and ur friend's system.
then u can send files at high speed.

Nope you cannot. You need to be a part of the same network for that to happen.
If you need to do file transfer to you friend an easier method is to do it through instant messenger

I dont know if you can send her files but i know you can take her files and conect to her comp and fun stoff like that
