Hi guys, I have a brand new laptop and 2 new web cams, both cams worked fine on both my pc's but for some reason mywebcam wont work on my laptop as of last night.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling software, tried other web cam but still no good.
My web cam gets recognised by my laptop, its light comes on yet when I try and turn it on I get a small menu box saying that my webcam is not connected. This is driving me nuts, please someone help me, thank you. Jimmy Essex England

Sorry guys I found prob, I think it had something 2 do with my USB2 PORT.
WEIRD THING IS IT ONLY WORKS ON 1 PORT, AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS A POWERED USB2 PORT BUT THE ONE I TRIED LAST NIGHT LIT UP MY WEB CAMS LIGHT BUT WASNT SWITCHING ON, I USED THIS PORT B4 AND IT WORKED I AM SURE I DID. MAY B MY PORT IS FAULTY THANKS ANY WAY GUYS. JIMMY

Are the ports you are plugging it into disabled? Try re-installing the usb/chipset drivers - usually downloadable from pc manufacturers website

Oh, this happened to me the other night. For me it was only a temporary glitch, try waiting a few days before trying again.
