For the last five nights, my right hand and sometimes my left hand has fallen asleep while I sleep. Does anyone know what that might mean?

It happens when you press the blood vessels and the blood supply is cut off momentarily. Better keep your hands free and do not put pressure on them by putting it under your head or keeping them hard pressed between your thights etc. More suggestions only if you can tell which way you sleep.

If it persists, consult a physician

well, when your hand or your leg goes to sleep i.e it becomes numb thats coz it stays in one position for a very long time (in your case the whole night).

there's nothing much you can do during the night but when u wake up if u gave ur hand a good shake the numbness goes away.

if you lye on your arm, you have what is known as your brachial arterty, because you are putting pressure on this artery, you are stopping the blood circulation.therefor ,you will have tiggling and numbness, or as you say asleep.this is what also happens when you cross your legs. this is not good to do !
