it's theft. Give them a deadline in writing, if it's still not in your account get a solicitor involved.
Get him to forward a letter saying, you will take action against them.
If they start being funny with you. i.e they start having ago at you etc and they give you a hard time, you can then sue them for that, as it's unfair treatment.
My sister it in a similar situation. Her employer owes her over time wages from July. It's just not on.

I would be upset and angry too. Contact your local labor board. There are guidelines that they follow that can help to quickly resolve the situation. I'm not positive, but I believe the comapny can face fines if the money isn't paid within a reasonable amount of time. Now. my definition of reasonable and the Labor Dept.'s definition of reasonable may not match but the law is on your side in this matter. Also, here's some unsolicited advice: It sounds as if the company may be going through a financial crisis but I could be wrong. Check with coworkers (professionally, don't show anger or frustration as that can work against you) to see
if they have had problems with pay. If more than 1 has, you might want to consider looking for another job. It may be they want to pay you, but can't. If this is an isolated case, put them on record that the situation needs to be rectifed within say 3 business days or you will need to contact the Labor Dept. Be prepared to follow through but remain professional at all times. An angry tirade, yes even a justified one, can lead to termination. So keep your cool, remain professional and courteous and only vent to your loved ones not any coworker. Much luck to you...

They could be in breach of contract as they have agreed to pay you on a certain day of the month to which they are now not doing.
Try to find out why they are not paying you (the company could be going down the toilet!).
Involve a solicitor to take action to recover the money however, this could cost you as, if the company is in trouble, they will not be able to pay your legal costs.
Also, put in a claim for any bank charges you may have incurred, plus interest lost and any other reasonable costs you have had to fork out to get the money.
Give them a deadline to pay you, if not done then go the legal route.
You could also have a case for constructive dismissal (should you resign due to lack of pay). Check this with the solicitor.

Check the labor laws about how long after you get pay date that you should have the money. In most instances they could be required to pay you more money if they dont' have it in your account by a certain time. Keep track of any charges you may receive because of this, ie late fees, overdraft charges, etc. and make them pay for those. You could also call the dept of labor and they will investigate if you want to take it that far. Remember, the more you get other agencies involved, the more likely it is you wont have a job so be careful.

This is a big deal. Ask for an interim payment in the form of a cheque, employers are obligated to give you 75% of your wage. If they still do not cough up, you need to contact your union rep, who will fight your case free of charge.
Do not let this lie. They owe you this money for your time worked. Get your contract out and keep on at your Human Resources and payroll department. There is a contract of employment that applies to them as well as you.

you know i've been in that exact situation just now. our wage was due last nov 1 or 2, but we got it just as i type this. yeah it's pretty frustrating, because it seems that our employers don't care that we don't make as much as they do, so we have to stretch our monthly wages as far as we can... so delayed payments are really a pain in the butt. so if your whole company was delayed, then you dont have any other choice but to wait, but if the only delayed payment is yours, then you have to submit a written follow up. that way you'll have proof that you've been consistently following up your wages thats rightfully yours, in case a future legal battle will occur. its only been 9 days for u now, but some workers here in the middle east haven't received their wages for months. but what you should not do is lose your temper at your workplace. always act professionally. so there, and good luck my friend!

You dont work for fun times, make sure you get paid, or look elsewhere, signs of a bad company, and be prepared they may be going down hill fast if they haven't paid u on time, with reason. When i started my current job, it took 6 weeks until we got paid ( we are paid monthly, and cos of the rush signing us newbies on we missed/paper work wasn't done for the first pay date) All is good now,
Anyways let yr boss know yr unhappy, and will do something about this.

Put something in writing - and threatening legal action should do the trick. Good luck.

You haven't said enough about why they haven't paid you, but maybe try a solicitor or http://www.acas.org.uk/index.aspx?articleid=356
