I recently started listening to Jonny Lang - I love him. Listen non-stop. I have been a fan of Mayer's for years (like present CD best). Is there anyone, male or female, who does modern blues that I can start listening to?

Check out Reeve Carney, a good friend of Jonny Lang (they are currently touring together).
Reeve has a song on the "One Tree Hill" CD.

Kenny Wayne Shepperd is excellent,especially his early stuff,give it a listen,Its almost as if Kenny & Jonny studied music together..=)

shannon curfman is a very rockin blues singer & guitarist. jonny had a guest spot on her first album. native american blues band 'indigenous' is also very good. chris duarte is a killin blues guitarist/vocalist. and then there's derek trucks. when he's not with the allman bros he does his own thing. incredible slide guitarist. blues rules!
