My husband bought a brand new car (Toyota Scion) less than 6 months ago, and metal is already showing through the tires. Are they covered under the warranty?

how long tires last is based on a few things. First what kind of tire we are talking about is it H rated or Z rated, more than likely the scion has H rated so they are not to soft. Next is how you drive, if you drive 5-10 K miles per month then they wore normal. If you drive a car hard and/or fast then the tires will not last as long. Last is how well the tires are maintained is the pressure checked regular and are they rotated every 7-10K miles, this is very important on a front wheel drive vehicle

I think the cheapest of tires are good for 35,000 miles. New car tires unless on a sport car or luxury model probably has cheap 35,000 mile tires. Tires are usually not warranty but it doesn't hurt to check your warranty papers to see.

depends on the mileage and if it needs and alignment or not. if the alignment is off and you are under a certain amount of miles they will PRO-RATE your tires and align the vehicle. at your cost for the alignment. probably his fault anyway.
