Chandler is the one that cracks me up the most with his comments but Joey makes me laugh with how dumb he is.
As for the girls - Monica was the hot one in the first few series - she had something about her but it seemed to disappear as she got older, Rachel has just improved with age - she's probably the overall sexiest

I can't believe the thought I'v put into this, but:
Monica, although her character flaws add to the humour, is essentially a character from whom the plot is able to progress and have structure;
Rachel developed from a stock comic character (rich bitc-h) into a more of a storyline centered on the love interest with;
Ross, who is essentially an intricate comic character with turmoil between neuroses and and ego, which makes him funny, but less so than;
Chandler, who gets the majority of the witty one liners, physical comedy and the reputation within the set up as "the funny one", however, his life story is the most structured and he developed into a more rounded, plot driven character;
Phoebe offers the elements of surprise, the bizarre and surreal, pitting the kooks interpretation of the world against stark New York reality. Her strong sexuality gives her the edge of the essentially neurotic Chandler and Ross in the physical humour stakes, but the winner is;
Joey. The most two dimensional character, by design, but the most human character by emotion. His childlike ability to present his starkest desires and prejudices through stunted intelligence and unworldliness directly conflicts with his tough, working class background and streetwise self assuredness. The strongest, most well preserved and deliberately slapstick of all the characters is probably the hardest role to play; remaining in character as a man of limited intelligence and unlimited libido whilst winning the affections of the audience shows the talent that Matt LeBlanc posesses.
The girls...
None are really what I'd go for, but being a bloke I wouldn't turn any of them down if they offered...
The girl from the copy shop that Ross kops off with when on a break from Rachel would be more my cup of coffee!

Ross is the funniest (although Joey has his moments). If I was a bloke I'd probably think Rachel was the sexiest.

Joey is overrated. I would say Chandler is the funniest and Rachel is the sexiest.

Ross is the funniest, purely because Chandler tries to hard and thinks he is funny and Joey, well having seen the spin off, just isn't that great a character.
Out of the girls, probably Rachel, just because of her body shape. None of the cast are that attractive.

I think Joey Tribbiani just pips Phoebe Boofay (correct spelling?) for funniest but I think Monica's the sexiest.
