Quite the contrary. Both sides played the politics of fear card. Republicans, the fear of terrorism, the Democrats the fear of the Republicans. The Democrats have a huge opportunity here. Lets just see if they waste it on politics as usual.

Both parties shamelessly try to scare the voters about their opponents. The Democrats were more successful this time because the voters were frustrated with the war in Irack and the Republicans did a crappy job of running things. Now the Dems will be on the hot seat and if they do a crappy job, the voters will out them next time around. Isn't partisan politics a great spectator sport?

Depends on what type of "fear" you are referring to. Both sides were using the fear tactic. The Repubs were trying to scare you into thinking another terrorist attack would happen if you elected the Dems, and the Dems were trying to scare you into believing that Social Security and Medicare would go away if you voted for the Repubs.

NO they don't. They showed mainly that most Americans felt that the war in Iraq was handled wrong, not wrong to go there. If they felt that we shouldn't have gone there Bush would have lost the last election. If you think that America will be safe from Terrorists now that the Democrats are in power you got your head in the sand. If you think there will not be another attack on American soil, your just stupid or naive. They have tried since 911 and failed, they will keep trying. It is not our Government they hate. It is our religious beliefs and our social morals. Our support of Israel, Christianity, Atheism. Please get in the real world!
