Mahatma Gandhi's father Karamchand Gandhi had 4 wives. He had two daughters one each by 1st and 2nd wife. His 3rd wife did not have any issue Gandhiji (Mohandas) was the only son through 4th wife. So Gandhi did not have any brother or sister of his own but had two sisters through his step mothers. Read excerpts of Gandhiji's early life from Wikipedia-

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born into the Hindu Modh Vanik family in Porbandar, Gujarat, India, in 1869. He was the son of Karamchand Gandhi, the diwan (Prime Minister) of Porbandar, and Putlibai, Karamchand's fourth wife, a Hindu of the Pranami Vaishnava order. Karamchand's first two wives, who each bore him a daughter, died from unknown reasons (rumored to be in childbirth). His third wife was deemed incapacitated and gave her permission to Karamchand for him to marry again. He was born into the vaishya, or business, caste-

Ohh my jolly goodness! There were as many brothers as flies on a piece of lamb in the old medina. The old man was a bit of a randy old sod, he gave 5 children ( all males) to his official wife but there are many stories around the markets and the mosque that tell of clandestine encounters with other young maidens. Ohh no sir it is not an estamable number that can be truly given in this case. Family shame and secrets in the closet you know!
