Actually u cant restore ur system just like that....u have to create restore point...

For example...If i create a restore point today at 8th Nov...then i can use this restore point like on after weeks, months or year.

Try to make restore point after every few days...when u are sure that system is virus and errors free.

that just means that the system restore is disabled, just enable it back.
how to enable or disable the system restore?

just do the ff:
1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. On the Performance tab, click File System, or press ALT+F.
3. On the Troubleshooting tab, click to select the Disable System Restore check box.
4. Click OK twice, and then click Yes when you are prompted to restart the computer.
5. To re-enable System Restore, follow steps 1-3, but in step 3, click to clear the Disable System Restore check box.

If you have created earlier restore point in your pc then only you can do this. If you would have alrady tried from windows and you are unable to do restore then try using following method
Press F8 after restarting the pc then select option that restore from last restore point there you need to choose the date of backup point which you want to restore then it will restore it. this will definatly work. best luck
