I choose "knowledge is power". I believe the point of living is to experience everything life has to offer - the good, the bad and the ugly.

To ignore aspects of life causes people to miss opportunities. Knowledge is definately power because the knowledge we obtain through education via school or general experience can be applied in everything we do and see. It is only with this knowledge that we can understand and accept, and proceed to maintain conditions or make changes.

Ignorance on the other hand renders the individual powerless to grasp opportunties or experience the world as it is.

I know that knowledge isn't necessarily power. I know a lot of things but have no real power or the little power I have is of no greater consequence. I know many ignorant people that are depressed and unhappy. So both statements don't hold water as far as I'm concerned.

"He who controls the present, controls the past. He who controls the past, controls the future." Orwell is a much more appropriate quote.

You'll have a hard time finding people willing to admit they'd rather be ignorant, except American, Republican, conservatives. However, most people are so selective about the knowledge they want it doesn't matter. You may think you choose knowledge but how many people are willing to open up and learn something that doesn't interest them at all? Like politics.

Knowledge, I have tried the ignorance way and it gave me anything but bliss.

You're assuming 'bliss' and 'power' go hand in hand.

Power isn't always all it's cracked up to be. Particularly if you have the knowledge and understanding of it's responsibilty.

Cunning though.

Knowledge is power because with knowledge you can change the things that are wrong and make others happy.

Knowledge is power although ignorance makes you happier.

Both.

Knowledge is power. The more you know, the more you are capable of.

Ignorance is bliss. The less you know, the less you have to worry about.
