and her uncle last I heard was still on a breathing machine in an ICU at a Perth hosptal and not doing well, I now think that the worst has happened and hence she aint called as yet.....why not though? and how soon should I go there from Launceston, Tas to be with her??

You should go now. She probably hasn't called cuz she hasn't been able to or she's so overwhelmed, she needs you to take the initiative right now.

During someones illness, it is a purely family thing... Leave her be for now, and be there when she needs you...
