Someone winked at me when i posted this question before and said he/she was there when Jyrki graduated in 1988. Now I am curious to know who this mystery winking person was...

Well, he has a Master's degree in analytical chemistry, but I seriously doubt that he would have graduated in 1988, since he would have only been 18 or 19 back then (born in October 1968). Usually in Finland the youngest graduates of the higher academic degree are something like 22 or 23 years old. It's not totally impossible to graduate as a 19-year-old, but it really rare.
