Hiya, i am a 17 yr old cottish girl, I have my friends 21st on sat and don't have a clue what to wear!? I don't want to go too dressy! any ideas.

How about super smart jeans (preferably dark that fit you nicely) and then dress them up with a sparkly top, sparkly heels and nice make-up?

Find out what your mate will be wearing, maybe you could both go shopoing together.
If you dont want to go too dressy, but want to look like you have made an effort wear dark blue sexy jeans (or skinny )either with heals or boots, nice belt (whatever suits your taste) wear a dressy top or plain, maybe one of those pretty shrug things, or if plain then use necklaces to glam it up. Do something nice with your hair and make-up. Casual/dressy. Jeans are great cos they go with anything!

Like most girls your age, i bet you enjoy looking the best and latest in fashion!
I noticed alot of young teens going around wearing footless tights, so maybe investing in a pair of them with some sparkly sandals and a matching tunic top/demin skirt, will make you look good at the party!

If by coltish you mean skinny, the best tops are halternecks as they give you a figure even if you don't have one normally! (like me). Then you can just either dress it down with a pair of thin leg jeans, or wear it with a long skirt to make you look really tall. That's the look I wear when I want to look my best!
But if you dont mean that, sorry, just ignore me!

Tight jeans tucked into boots and a sexy top. Do your hair and make up well, so your face will be the focus rather than your clothes if you are an uncomfortable dresser. Have fun!

i would recommend that you wear a red dress with a cut up to just above the knee that show that you are not to over dressed and sophisticated and red dresses always steel the night
