The United States and by extension Mr. Bush did not make the world what it is. Each country is it's own unique blend of rational thought and absolute fanaticism. This statement includes our own great republic. We are not at war with the world and we are not occupying the world. We are at war in two countries. If you want to say we messed them up you might have some ground to stand on, but the rest of the world must take credit for their own messes.

foolsowl: First those number have not been confirmed by any realible source. In fact there is great disagreement on what the actual death toll is. The real numbers will probably not be known until the violence ends and the country becomes completely stable. Second your post ignores the fact that the vast majority of deaths in Iraq have occured from insurgent and sectarian violence, not US military action.

Well you can think what you want but it wouldnt matter who was President we would still be involved in several wars. From what I understand they started planning the 9-11 attacks back when Clinton was the president. We would have still gotten attacked. We would have still retaliated. We tried to stay out of everyones bussiness but that did not work.hell they are using dynamite to blow up cafes and bus terminals. What do you think they would do with a suitcase nuke?I dont think you understand that there standing in line for the chance.I know we have bought oil from corrupt countries. And if there leaders are bad to there people its are fault! Bull! We have been throwing money at the worlds problems for decades. We need to stop them while we still can.Instead of financing there military with oil revenues. While they raise there children in schools that teaches them that if kill a Christian then they will go to heaven and get 72 virgins. We get mad at the military if they accidently kill the wrong person in a war zone. These people have no regard for human life and they are willing to die for there radical ideals. We need to stiffin up and take out the SOBs before they get us.You liberals need to get your big girl panties on and realize that when you are at war people die hence the name if you did that the war would end a helluva lot quicker.

You can't blame all Americans for what our SOB of a president is doing. Hah, I can't believe there are actually some Bush supporters on here. He's probably one of the top 5 most unpopular presidents in history now. American people are finally realizing what an idiot they've let into office. Unfortunately it's far too late, and he's spread his own brand of terror globally. Yes that's right, GEORGE BUSH IS A TERRORIST. Maybe we should strap him up and whip him a bit like they're going to be doing under his new torture law.

There were more Terrorist attacks on the US during the Clinton years than during the Bush years. Everyone that says Bush made it more dangerous is just sticking their heads in the sand. Bali, The embassy bombings, the Cole, the first bombing of the world trade center. As for wars Bosnia, Somalia. Remember also that the planning for 911 was underway well before Bush took office. They do not hate us for our leaders, they could care less if they are Republican or Democrat. It is our religious leaning towards Christianity and our support of Israel they hate. PS they hate Atheist's also, so don't try to claim that will save you.

You place the blame on Bush but there were many before him, who through diplomatic failure, armed intervention and interference in the domestic politics of other nations. But the US is not alone, China and Tibet, UK and Falkland Islands, Guerillas of Myanmar in North Thailand, and many problems in Africa. Examine the historical birth of the current situation because the problems of the Middle East began just after World War II, as did Vietnam and Korea, and even the schism between Taiwan and China. Our failed attempts in Cuba began with Eisenhower. While I consider Bush addle-pated, the blame must be placed on those who failed to prevent the problem, not on the people who are forced to react with violence.

I think that Bush has done more than his fair share of contributing to the sorry state of the world right now. But cheer up; things they are achangin' and quickly I might add. Oops! there goes Rumsfeld!

But seriously, I do agree that Bush is responsible for the increase in terrorist acts and for many untold deaths.

But I am a democrat & see our election results as a step (finally) in the right direction. We can't undo the damage done but hopefully we can lessen it in the future by beginning a systematic withdrawal from Iraq.

There are a lot of fanatic jihadi psychopaths out there in the world who would like nothing better than to be here messing up America. When the defeatocraps pull us out of Irack it won't be long before they are back over here with murder in their hearts killing American civilians again.
Not to mention the resurgent neo-marxists who are taking over South and Central America again. I miss Ronald Reagan.
