If you believe in Einsteins theory of General relativity, then it says that both space and time is affected by the gravitational attraction of the bodies. As every event (including the events in our life) takes place on the fabric of space & time, the gravitaional attraction of heavenly bodies do have some effect on us.. But, wait! these effects are calculated to be negligibly small, so that they cannot have any significant effect on our life.
So, it may not be wise decision to believe on the predictions of astrology. Some people would say that astrology is a science but in fact it is a pseudo science and not exact science.

The horoscope is literally a map of the heavens showing the exact position of the sun, moon, and planets. It is mathematically calculated using the exact date, time, and location of an individual's birth. Many people are born on the same date, but at a different time. Many are born on the same date and in the same time, but not in the same place. An individual's horoscope is calculated using all three of these variables. Every four-minute interval produces a slightly different chart, and even twins are rarely born within such a narrow space of time. The horoscope is indeed a unique chart : no two individuals have the same one. This is the reason why an astrologer can define an individual's nature and temperament in a most subtle and personal manner.

How exactly does astrology work? What is the mechanism by which the planet Jupiter would have an effect on my particular life? Everyone always demands proof of scientific theories such as the Big Bang or evolution before they will accept them. Why then don't you ask for proof of how astrology works?

It is bunk!

No, I really don't think that astrology has some meaning in our lives. It is just superstition. By coincedence the pridiction might be true but not always.

It's hogwash!
What is it doing in a science section?
Anyone who thinks that destiny is determined or predicted by stars is deluding themselves. Believing that something is going to happen to you, like an accident or misfortune, will make you nervous and may increase the chances of it happening. A prediction? Or a self fulfilling prophecy?

Princess Diana had her stars and fortune read regularly. Did any of these people, at any stage in her life, warn her of her death in a tunnel in Paris. Did any of them look at her personalised horoscope and see that she would die at such a young age, at the height of her popularity?
Hardly a minor event to escape their notice.
