I found these wonderful sponge cloths that certainly clean a countertop better. Anyhow, I keep one those sponge cloths in the shower and wipe down the moisture off the chrome. I haven't had to use DeKalc now for about a year (except maybe for the little screen filter in the shower head).

Water softeners are nice if you have one, if you can afford one to "keep your faucets clean" or, just for kicks but, if you can't, clean the faucet while cleaning the other stuff but, put a little "Turtle Wax" on them and get a nice coat, the water will now bead off. Good Luck.

if it is building up on the outside, try periodically wiping them off with vinegar. it stinks, but is good at disolving small amounts of buildup
