The question "yes or no?" immediately poses a challenge to the responder. To give an absolute yes or no answer in reply to a question with unknown circumstances is to go against the fundamental ideas surrounding human nature. The reason being, humans are uncomfortable with change, and most resist it whenever possible.
So, to trust my human instinct, I would have to reply no. However, I like making the most of opportunities, and spontaneity makes life more exciting ... therefore, I shall go with yes :-)

YES.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
Psychologists have shown that people differ. Some have a postitive attitude that they can suceed. Others are always seeing the rpoblems in things. The people with a positive view of the world are more successful, are happier and they are even healthier, e.g. they live longer.
Another reason for YES it that Yes is for co-operation with other people, which is a godd thing.
There are times when No is obviously the right answer, e.g. to Should I steal for fun? But other things being equal, say Yes.
Incidentally, it is well known that people tend to say Yes when answering questionnaires. That is why pollsters often ask about a question twice worded so that consistent answering requires yes one time and No the other.

Yes or no demands a monosyllable answer which is difficult for a thinking person to provide without tailed by some explanation or reasoning. It is a bit assuming and authoritative to demand it.
Nevertheless, my answer is yes because something is better than nothing!
