No.
He sacrificed his personal integrity out of loyalty to the President. He knew the invasion of Iraq was a bad idea, and he kept his misgivings behind closed doors. I think a true servant of the public knows when it's time to fall on your sword, career-wise, for the greater good. He knew it, too, but chose to remain silent. As much as I admire and respect the man for his past accomplishments and service, he went out on a sour note, and I don't believe he can regain the respect we once had for him. It's better for him to remain on the sidelines now, and write the occasional opinion piece in the Washington Post. I certainly would not vote for him now, even if he became a Democrat - he failed the American people at a crucial moment in history, and I couldn't possibly reward that failure by putting him in a position of even greater responsibility and greater pressure.

Colin Powell doesn't want to become President. His political party asked, and he refused. I believe that because he's a military man, and not a politician, he doesn't feel qualified; he may also feel that he's already served his country to the best of his ability.

He is familiar with the Intel replaced into doctored to favour the administrations plan of invading Iraq. And he comprehend it is going to at last blow up because it somewhat is now with comments initiating to floor approximately "atypical" manipulation of intelligence comments via individuals of the Bush team. i might think of if the impeachment of Bush ever is going forward Colin Powell could have some thrilling issues to declare decrease than oath.

No he shouldn't - his wife doesn't want him too and more to the point I don't believe he really wants to - to be President you have to want to be President. The man doesn't want the job because he doesn't want for himself and his family to go through the scrutiny the running for that job entails. However, if he and his family change their minds on the subject - then I think it would be a good idea - I would like to see him as President. It is a definate truth that he is a man who would serve his country to the best of his ability.

Colin Powell sold out his ethnicity in order to be a Bush puppet....he worked for Papa Bush and then for Baby Bush.....he is a sellout....I would never vote for him even though I would love to see a Black man in office...Barack Obama....now there's a real candidate likable to both sides

His reason is that his wife has asked him not to. My reason is that he didn't believe in the Iraqi war & lost his integrity in giving in to Bush.
