If a man promises to change for the better each time he messes up, but goes back to being his old self days later. Will he really change for the better provided more time is given?

One should not act too hard on changing a person. If you are interested in him, you must accept him for what he is. Changing some body, especially when the previous efforts have failed should not be tried by you again, in the same way, he should not do any such things with you.

No, and its not always a bad thing. He is who he is and only he can change. If u love him or care 4 him let him b who he is. When he is ready he will make the changes he feels he needs 2. Remember hes a man, they don't always grow up as fast as we would like, but in his own time things will change.

No, he will not. Love is not a project for you to change. Find someone that suits you better. Otherwise you will just get false promises that never stop.

The only person that can change a man, is the man himself. That goes the same for the woman too.
Nobody wants to be told what to do or who to be, you have to look within yourself and chose to change your ways. All you can do is offer your support and love for that person.

- the habit that he wants to change
- how strong he is
- the motivation for the change

I'm not saying that people don't have bad habits because they do, but people won't change unless they want to change.
If he keeps going back to the way he was it means he's happy that way.
In this case it means that if he isn't going to be the person you want him to be, he is not the person for you.
I would cut your losses and find someone more suited to you.

aaahhh, that would be no. this guy is just making all the right noises to keep you just where he wants you. and that's running after him. wake up and smell the roses. surely your are smart enough to see this. there lots of sweet guys out there that will do the right thing by you so don't waste your time. and go find him. i know he's just around the corner.
