Before you start off check out this book:
The Edge Effect: Achieve Total Health and Longevity with the Balanced Brain Advantage by Eric R. Braverman. (He's a doctor)
The author has a complete questionnaire that helps you pinpoint which of the four main neuro chemicals you lack: serotonin, dopamine, GABA or acytlcholine. Then he tells you how to increase (nutritional, exercises etc.) Better than just blindly going at it. By the way listening to music you love is a possible dopamine enhancer. Invest in some new tunes maybe. It can't hurt.
Good luck!

We have dicussed this before Kitty... Briefly: Dopamine is our natural reward. Religion provides answers to questions that plague human thought whilst also providing an escape from reality. The answers provided are agreed by the religious group and as such increases the individuals confidence that their answers are correct whilst also creating europhia through escapism. Confidence leads to the release of dopamine and serotonin. Thus, the delusion is rewarded and reinforced leading to acceptance and ritualistic behaviour... Duplicated in other settings is easy. Hobbies, activities in childhood eg talking to toys demonstrate the same effect... I hope this makes sense...i could talk about it all day. Edit: To others, the release of dopamine during religious practices is proven! Prayer and Mediation have both been shown to increase dopamine levels hence why it is believed to be a possible cure/treatment for diseases which exhibit low dopamine levels i.e. parkinsons

There's no such OTC medicines. Any medicine whose main purpose is to change mood is prescription.
The most population depression medications actually stop serotonin reuptake.
