Don't try bowling too fast. You can't do that even if you're the fittest man on earth.
You need to build up rhythm. Technique is the most important thing, not physical strength.
Do practice on line & length, seaming the ball. Enjoy bowling. Then speed will come out.
Fast bowling is an art.

Keep in mind following things to increase the speed of bowling:
1) Grip the bowl perfectly.
2) Run with speed but with rhytherm while delivering the bowl.
3) Your bowling arm-action should be high and smooth (some bowler like legendary Wasim Akram had never bowled with high arm but despite this his action was quickest in the world and smooth, therefore he was generated tremendous speed and swing).
4) Keep glancing on batsman's eye.
5) Do shoulder exercise.
6) Tip the bowl on right spot (good length) and keep variation in line and length with accurately which make a delivery more dangerous to batsmen.
7) Keep killing instinct (keep in mind that the bowl now you are bowling is going to take the wicket).

The bowler Should be fit & Should have Broad Shoulder with this type of phyisic he could run fast & Straight with high arm action. He Should try to hold the boll in the direction, while he bowl, the ball Seam Should kiss the pitch

Improove your fitness by regular exercises,
Bowl everyday atleast 10 overs,
Take 4-5 glasses of milk everyday [I am not joking]
If you are tired of bowling then, don't do it,
Take proper rest [ 7 hours of sleep ]
Do streching before and after bowling to avoid injuries,
Eat soya chunks [Nutrela] to build your muscles,
Don't take too much food,
Drink lots of water.

If all these donot work then change your bowling action.

I think you should Improve your fitness.and lot of hard practice.

But it s better you shuold concentrate on both speed and Swing.If you are not able bowl fast.you can atleast swing the ball to take wickets

place bucket with water and bowl the ball into it and practice for 2 -3 weeks.bouce the ball ito the bucket and the ball has to come outside the water.

as i too am a fast bowler i think i can help you.
1) to increase speed you have to do more of bowling shadow than you bowl in the nets. bowling shadow means to bowl your delivery in the same way just with out the bll. exert pressure as much as u can while doing bowling shadow. take a very small runnup while you do bowling shadow. and try to hit your arm as fast as u can. you must also take care of ur action while doing bowling shadow.
2) make sure u have the perfect fitness that a fast bowler must have. you must do stretching before and after ur practice to avoid injury.
3) remember onething when you bowl too fast as i do u harm ur body. i mean when you grow up u will have a lot of problems or if u r lucky u won't have any. for example many has problems while climbing up the stairs when they are old.
4) do shoulder exercises. one should be able to see you and say that u r a fast bowler.
5) remember to eat always before and after you finish playing. light eating before you go to play. and don't drnk water while playing or before it. just a little bit. but after you finish playing eat a lot of water.
6) maintaining the rhythm is the most essential thing when you try to bowl faster. bowling at a lesser pace can be due to a faulty action or runup or the lack of rhytm.
7) if you can do chilling. it will help you build your shoulder as well as ur height.
8) in your passtime do meditation and go on thinking bout ur pace and your action, delivery follow through. when u r in bed and when you think that u r bowling u should feel it. meditation helps a lot to develop technique and bring perfection.


as a fast bowler i would advice you to concentrate on the line, length, swing, cut and variety deliveries. through my experience i have found that bowlinf like a mad person is nothing but loss of energy. i used to bowl at a very fast pace and used to trouble the batsman a lot. half of them din't wanted to face me. i used to get wickets but i considered a lot of runs because what ever was hit went to the fence like a rocket due to my pace. but now i am a swing, cut bowler. off cut, leg cut and out swing is my variety. i get wicket now also but i consider lesser runs. now i trouble the batsman with my swing and cuts.

remember small swings are more difficult to play than big swings.

Plenty of practise.. coz if you keep practising you will improve your technique and then the speed will come
