in India, TDS (i.e Tax Deduction at Source) is the amount of pre-calculated incometax deducted at source i.e where a salaried tax payer serves. All catagories of tax payer require tax deduction at source and all tax payers are liable to deduct incometax in advance on t he assigned dates throughout the "previous" year. T.D.S must be made by the employer, otherwise he will be punished under Indian laws. TDS and all are explained in the govt of india official incometax-deptt site: www.incometaxindia.gov.in. For salaried section there is one easily understandable good book "Nabhi's incometax guidelines & Mini Ready Reckoner" available in good book stores of your town (India). You can go through it to get your answers. Taxmann also publishes books on incometax. Both the site and the book will help you even to calculate your tax if you can spare your time for that. There is an income-tax department hand book " Handbook for Taxpayers", available in incometax offices from which tax payers can get valuable informations. In all cases you need the income year or assessment year for which you require information, since rules are changing every year.

at first Vat is charged on sale and there will be no TDS on sale. service tax would be charged on service provided and Tds would be charged on service charged quantity. Now got here on your question first fee Vat on sale quantity then service fee quantity and quotes service tax on service charged quantity and deduct TDS on entire quantity i.e. (service fee quantity + service tax quantity). additionally verify what style service you're offering(service catagory as according to Tds applicability)..
