Yes. Though most people will not die from a black widow spider bite, some can be allergic to the venom which can be very dangerous. Only the female black widow is venemous. You should seek medical attention for the bite right away as well, which the employer will have to pay for.
Also you may require time off from the injury, at which point it becomes a workmans comp issue (if you are in the USA) and you can get paid for any time you do need to take off.

I have lived in black widow us of a all my existence, and by no potential were given bit. i have common 2 those who were given bitten. both were plumbers. Black widows stay in many cases in darkish quiet places not contained in the residing house yet contained in the storage or the crawl areas of the residing house. they don't look aggressive. maximum bites take position even as a black widow is trapped between the garments and the floor, virtually forcing the spider to chew the floor. i have study that they'll aggressively look after their egg sacs, yet it really is not my adventure. even as i encounter a black widow with an egg sac, I weigh down the egg sac on primary, and the spider hasn't ever reacted to that. of route that is conceivable that the eggs already hatched and so the spider did not care. nicely, the plumbers did not tell me the information, yet they were sick for some days. they did not look too excited or disillusioned about it. I heard also of a dumb youngster that were given himself bitten by a black widow on purpose, purely to make sure what it replaced into like. He were given a fever and had soreness, yet did not flow to a well-being care specialist and recovered in some days. in short, black widow bites are literally not many times deadly, even without therapy, yet they're many times make you quite sick. medical therapy can really make it a lot less ugly. human being reactions can decision.

Yes, you should tell your boss and did you kill it? if not it doesn't die like a bee does when it stings it could very well end up biting someone else too. Call your doctor or pharmacist for advise probably will just tell you to take Tylenol or Advil for the pain and ice it. Unless you are having a reaction then you should go to the nearest ER or Immediate Care Facility.

yes and you need to get to the hospital right away. I had a friend that was bit and was paralyzed for a week because she didn't seek medical attention right away. She was lucky she recovered.

Yes and I hope you've gone to the hospital too. Did you kill the spider? Someone else you work with might get bitten.
