I find that learning to say "No" is anultimate de-stressor. Please add the many ways you say No to others requests and demands. Here are some of mine.

"No thank you."
"that is not something I am interested in"
"I really cant fit that in this week"
"perhaps ________ would be interested in doing that for you." (Name someone who might enjoy doing it instead of you.)
"My calendar is full."
"I think you can manage that yourself"
"Not any time soon."
"no!"
"I will let you know if I decide to do that."
"I can't afford that"
"You need to ask someone else"
"Have you tried doing it yourself?"
"That is not something I like doing"
" I dont see the need for me to be involved"
" I can't help you with that."
"I would help if I could but I don't have the time."
"Please ask someone else"

"Yeah, ummmm....No."
"Yeah, I don't think so."
"Not gonna do it."
"It's not gonna happen."
"Not."
"I don't think so."
"I'm really not qualified to do that."
"I'm really not skilled in that area."
"And why is it that you can't do it youself again?"

Yeah absolutely...

How about these..?

"I think it'll benefit you more if you try doing that yourself, for once at least." (very sarcastic..effective for those always asking for help even if they can do it alone)
"Look, I'll really love to help, but it's just not possible now, I've got to run..(shh)I've got a hot date tonight and I can't be late!"
(yes, it might be lying or stretching the truth too much but still worth it)
"Hey, look, it's (insert incoming friend/colleague's name here)! I've been meaning to look for him/her all day. Get back to ya..."
(and RUN!)

...Quickly take your phone out and pretend someone is calling u. Pretend to have a short brief conversation with "Hi (insert name), yep....yes....ok...sure..that's fine...ok....sure..i'll get back to you soonest possible". Hang up. Turn to the person asking. Say "Sorry..i have to go now. Something urgent. Talk to you a bit later."
