Definitely for the SA tour they could have taken a different approach in view of the world cup.
We know the ability and performance of the above players who are not consistent recently. So there was an obligation to test the ability of the other players who are not in the team now as well as new talents.
So in the SA tour itself these players could have been avoided and Ganguly, Dineshkarthik, Yograj Singh, Badarinath, Rohit Sarma, YMahesh and let the above players to perform in the coming domestic matches...
However the people who have the right to take decision are thinking some other way...They are not thinking the others are also Indians and they will get chance for India only...
So some of the poor guys may follow
KP Bhasker, former Delhi captain who was the most prominent, had an average of 70+ for continous 5 years in domestic cricket never got an entry to the national team only because of our poor selection strategy.
or
some may get a chance at their olden age like Robin Singh has been selected.
So itz their choice, If the nation wins or looses that makes no difference for them. They are their to rule, control and fool us...

Kaif should have been dropped long before and yes it should be curtains for Kaif and Raina. I do not agree Sehwag is talked in the same vein. He is a class act and a proven match winner. I had always felt Karthik is a better batsman than Dhoni. I am sure Dhoni is going to struggle against SA seamers. Pathan lesser said better. he is just a swing bowler and not that good or outstanding as say Bracken or Pedro Collins. We do not need him as a batsman. Many more players are in contention Rohit Sharma and S Badrinath have had very good seasons so far and with the "A" team. If not for wholesale changes, time is definitely running out for Kaif and to some extent Raina. Pathan should be readily replaced by Balaji or V YoMahesh, who has impressed one and all in the recent duleep tie. But again Vengserkar has proved to be a big joker as he selected Jaffer for ODIs. but let us hope sense prevails with the presence of the "astute" Raju.

Definately not. Atleast for Sehwag, Dhoni, Kaif and Pathan. These all are big match players. Dhoni played well in 2 games of champions trophy, as well in the last game of DLF cup. So he has the ability to face Aussie attack. so there is no question of kicking him out of game. Sehwag is passing through a bad patch, but u need to wait more. Kaif, is a talented guy, and his fielding is tremendous, but as far as batting is concerned he need to perform much better than current performances.
Yes, but RAINA, I think he should not be given chance for SA tour too. He doesn't deserve a place in the team at all. I don't understand why he is still in the team???? He can't play big games, that's the sure. He can be tested while playing agianst Zimbabwe and Bangladesh, but definately not when u r playing against SA or Aussie. I think selectors need to reconsider his place, and need to remove him before SA tour. There is no utility of him in the team.

I think SA will be a final bell for Raina but as Yuvraj is injured somebody should be there to shoulder the responsbility of middle order maybe kaif will be do that.I think this may be second last tour for Dhoni the way he is doing advertisements he will forget cricket and start doing advertisement. As for Shewag is concerned it depends on his performance.About rest of the players they have not got enough opportunity to prove themselves players like Karthik and Jaffer.

Hi,
Nopes its not the last chance Atleast for Sehwag, Pathan, Kaif, Dhoni. coz everybody is aware team is going at bad phase where most of the people is not able to perform everytime...
and Everybody knows that above mentioned player are like sleeping bombs & they can be explosive at any time & when they explode we all know what might be the result.
Entire team can not be scraped. So thats why chances are given to some people thats it.
When it comes to ganguli, He is not given chance in this tour so we can't say tht this will be the last chance for him.
Regards,
Santosh

Ganguly is a fused out player and keeping him in the team will be suicide. Laxmans performance is sporadic and he is a poor fielder, Murli kartik is unsuitable for one dayer. Raina is the only person who can be replaced confidently. Jaffer has not been given chance to make any decision about him.
What ever it may be India's bowling is without sting as such , Sri lanka, Australia, south Africa and Pakistan can easily score . I don't think they can fins new talents who will be effectve with pace, swing and accuracy. So let us participate as a cricket palying country and see up to where we can get with the available resources.

i am going to honestly be hoping for the kind to proceed, yet also being conscious, that beating South Africa in ODIs isnt a normal job. The excursion has been a finished reserve as far because the outcomes are worried, from what befell in Australia formerly this three hundred and sixty 5 days. Beating SA won't be able to be ordinary for Australia in this series, yet in the journey that they do favor to, then they ought to not play in any case like what they did in Australia formerly this three hundred and sixty 5 days adverse to RSA.
