I usually ship out products to other avon Reps who need something, like perfume etc. Today i shipped out 6 cans of bug guard spray,a kids toy,and mascara. Anyways..its going by Parcel post to the rep who is a few hours away...Now someone just informed me that it wont arrive because of the bug guard spray..is this true? Usually with like the perfume sometimes i forget to mention fragile or liquid etc..and it still gets there. So im just wondering if this package will or not.

If it does not arrive it will not be because of the Bug Spray.

You are not allowed to send the arosole products through the mail but If you didn't make any indication to the post man or on the package that that is inside it then it will arrive there. Of course you may get in trouble if the can explodes. If you told the post office what it was or if it was on a customs slip it would not be shipped at all. They would tell you that you couldn't. I wouldn't worry about it if it is already sent but you can not send it like fragile or liquid stuff.

You need to consult with your Avon superior as to the hazardous material regulations on the products you are shipping. Aerosols and perfumes are considered hazardous materials. I sounds like you are shipping ORM-D items and you might be best off getting some labels for that and learning the regulations.

I can't say when the package will arrive. The FAA has really cracked down on the USPS as to shipping things like cosmetics which are potentially flammable. Please don't take your frustration out on a postal clerk. They are only abiding by the FAA rules.

Unless you have heard this directly from the post office, I wouldn't worry about it. My sister sells Avon and never had a problem sending anything, to anyone.

This is true. Bug spray and most aerosol items are considered illegal to mail because they are combustible and therefore considered hazardous.

You are not suppose to send aerosol cans in the mail. They are flammable. They will get delivered if undetected.
