When I call helpline services like Just dial or ask me , they insist on taking my phone number or email id. When I refuse saying that it is my personal number they refuse to give me the informaton i desire. As per my understanding they are running a public service and need to provide information , if they have it without any conditions attached to it. They cannot simply refuse by putting conditions. My email id and my phone number is my private thing. I do not wish to share it with anyone. I would request ideas and comments on this please

The information provider needs your telephone numbers and email ID so that they could contact you in disguise but actually wanted it for business ventures and advertisements.

No they can't ask you for your information. Using your phone number or email address they can back track your name and information... which could lead to identity theft. Call them again and ask for information and ask for a manager. Also, check with your local Better Business Bureau for their credentials.

you should create an another id. then this id give them. on this way this id will be only the source of information. u should not fill up ur actual identity in this id. ok & give this id them.
