HUB:- simply a device which is used to connect computers and works as central nexus.
Switch:- it is same like hub but it works on MAC address basis.
it is very fast as compare to HUB.
Router: it is used to connect differnt and long distance networks.
Bridge: this is used to connect same type of network.
gateway: this is simply gateway of the network. all communication to different network goes through the gateway.
